Woods Mills, NY a Lost Village
Woods Mills, originally Woods Settlement, was one of several villages lost as the result of the Pine Camp (Fort Drum) expansion in the early 1940's. Located along both sides of the Indian River, the village consisted of 15 tracts of property. As a means of preserving the history of this "lost village", the 1864 map of Woods Mills is provided.
